Fish Wrap with Vegetables


  • 1/4 red cabbage, shredded,
  • 1 medium radish, grated
  • 2 red or yellow bell peppers, chopped
  • 1/2 bunch fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 red onion, chopped,
  • Juice of 2 lemons,
  • 1 head of lettuce or curly, washed and separated individually
  • 1 tablespoon of avocado oil,
  • 650 g mackerel or salmon,
  • 2 teaspoons of cumin,
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
For Avocado Sauce;
  • 1/4 cup of water soaked raw cashew,
  • 1/3 cup of lemon juice,
  • 2 cloves of garlic,
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1 pepper, optional
  • 2 ripe avocados,
  • water to mix
Take out your cutting board to get started. For this vegetable fish wrap recipe, you will first prepare the vegetables. In this step, you can either chop the vegetables or grate them. Chop and prepare the red cabbage, pepper, parsley and red onion. A colorful wrap? This recipe has every color! If you want a little more fiber and vitamin C, don't forget to add the radish. Take the chopped vegetables in a deep bowl and pour the juice of 2 lemons on it.
Finally, wash the lettuce or curly leaves well and separate them one by one.
Next are the fish. For this, chop the fish of your choice in bite size and take it into a deep bowl. Mix the spices in a separate bowl. For this; Mix cumin, garlic powder and salt. Sprinkle the spice mix you prepared on the fish and use a little of your hands to make sure all the fish are coated. Let the fish rest in the refrigerator to rest a bit while you prepare the avocado sauce.
This veggie fish wrap isn't complete without a delicious sauce. Put the nutritious cashews, lemon juice, garlic salt and some pepper in a high-powered blender and puree. Add some water to make the mixture become a sauce-like consistency. Then add the avocados and pull them through the blender until the sauce has a creamy consistency. Then transfer the sauce to a bowl. It's time for fish!
For this, heat a pan on medium heat. When the pan is hot, add a tablespoon of avocado oil and the fish to the pan. When the fish is sure that it does not stick to the pan, close the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes. Mix a little with 1 lid open every minute and close the lid again. In the meantime, it is important to be gentle so that the fish do not break apart. After the fish is cooked, you are now ready to move on to the wrap stage.
Start with a lettuce leaf to prepare the wrap. Then add the fish and vegetables on it. Finally, garnish with avocado sauce and serve!
