Quinoa Rice with Peas



  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder (optional)
  • 1/2 cup boiled peas
  • salt/pepper
  • 1 cup of quinoa
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 glasses of water

Saute the onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat for 3 minutes.
Add turmeric and curry and mix.
Add water, salt and pepper and bring to boiling point.
Rinse the quinoa first with cold water, then put it in boiling water, mix and let it cook.
Cook for 10 minutes, then add the peas and mix, cook for another 5 minutes and make sure that all the water has been absorbed.
Serve hot.
